Liz Truss has relaunched her podcast on the YouTube channel of broadcaster Mike Graham, a presenter who was later sacked by TalkTV after a racist post appeared on his Facebook page. Graham is also known for a widely reported on-air exchange described in media coverage as the "grow concrete" moment.
When Truss first launched the podcast last year she said it would bring a "counter-revolution" aimed at taking on the "deep state", which she accused of having "tried to destroy" her. The intervention was framed as part of her effort to remain a prominent public voice after a brief spell as prime minister.
Truss's tenure as prime minister ended abruptly after a mini-budget that was widely blamed for destabilising financial markets and precipitating her resignation. Since leaving office she has pursued a media presence, but has so far been unable to attract a large audience for her programme, according to coverage of her post-political career.
The move to Graham's channel links Truss with a broadcaster who has himself been at the centre of controversy and disciplinary action. The partnership will draw attention both for the prominence of the figures involved and for Graham's dismissal from TalkTV following the circulation of the Facebook post.
